The Montauk room at the Montauk Library makes available to the public historical books on Montauk, East Hampton and Long Island, comprehensive plans, environmental impact studies, cookbooks, East Hampton Trustees Records from 1725-1955, history and archaeology of the Montauk Indians, information on Camp Hero and Shadmoor, back issues of the Montauk Pioneer, Montauk Light, Long Island Forum, Long Island Sound, historical preservation reports, zoning studies and the East Hampton Star on microfilm. the Long Island Collection vertical files have been cataloged and can be searched through OPAC, Online Public Access Catalogue.
