Stay and Play at the
Montauk Library!

Join us for Stay & Play, a free playtime program that focuses on parent/child interaction, play and exploration! Visit us, meet other families with young children, play with our toys and make the craft of the week. A brief circle time of fingerplays and songs ends the program.  Appropriate for children ages birth - five years old.  Limit of 25 children!

Raising bilingual children is one of the best gifts you can give your child. Bilingual Storytime is a 45 minute combination of exciting books, multicultural songs and fingerplays shared in Spanish and English!

Criar niños bilingües es uno de los mayores regalos que usted puede dar a su hijo. Cuentos Bilingües es un programa de 45 minutos con una combinación de libros emocionantes, canciones multiculturales y juegos de dedos en español e inglés!
 
 

 

Build a Better World: 3D Printing for Kids and Teens

Two Session Workshop, Tuesdays August 8 and 15

Want to learn more about 3D printing? Have an idea for a design you want to create and print? Join us for this 3D printing class for kids & teens! In this two session program, children and teens will learn about 3D printing, and create and print their own design using the Tinkercad website  and our 3D printer.  Appropriate for ages 7-15.  Registration is required, limit 8 students.  Sign up with Miss Jackie in the children's department or call 631-668-3377!

 

 

Paw Patrol Drive-In Movie!

Join us to design and make your very own police car, just like Chase! Then, hop in to watch the dogs of Paw Patrol make the world a better place in episodes from the Brave Heroes, Big Rescues DVD! Frank Lloyd Wright Architecture

for Kids!

Frank Lloyd Wright is one of this country’s most famous architects. He was passionate about his style and keeping true to his own artistic views. He loved nature and incorporating it into his designs. Participants will design, build and landscape a three dimensional building inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright using natural materials. The models are ready to be taken home that day and kept for future architecture endeavors! Registration is required. Limit 25 children grades k and up! Downward Mule: Author Reading & Yoga Adventure
with Jenna Hammond!

Put your creativity to work and join us for some fun LEGO building! We'll provide the LEGOs, you create the masterpiece! We will display your creations in the children's area  until the next club meeting!

 

Toddler Yoga!

Saturday, August 19, 11:00 am

Join us for a toddler yoga class led by Nina Salpeter!  This yoga class for little ones is designed to motivate children to be active, build confidence, and manage the spectrum of emotions that they experience in their day-to-day activities—basically stress management for kids!  The session will incorporate all the benefits of yoga including cardiovascular conditioning, meditation, breathing techniques, and deep relaxation. Long Island Natives: Frogs & Amphibians!

Meet some of the reptile and amphibian neighbors native to our area and find out who walks, swims, slithers, hops, or wiggles.
